The direct answer
Tap listen on an open guide. The phone reads the title, the warning, and the sections in order. Pause, resume, or skip forward and back by section. The screen stays awake while it is speaking.
If the guide is translated, it reads that translation, not the English hiding underneath. The voice is the phone's own speech voice for that language. We do not record you, and the audio does not leave the device.
It is there for a guide you cannot stare at: packing a kit, holding a pot, walking a trail. It is not a substitute for reading a critical step. If the phone has no voice installed for that language, the reading follows whatever speech voice the device can use.
What listen does
The words on the screen. Spoken on the phone.
- →Reads the guide, including a translation
- →Pause and skip by section
