§ Legal

Data Deletion

Last Updated · August 25, 2026

The Short Version

The App does not create a The Last Manual account. Notes, bookmarks, maps, and contacts live on your phone — clear App data or uninstall to delete them. Waitlist name/email on this website can be deleted with the form below. Google ads, Play purchases, and other vendors keep their own records under their policies.

§ 01

No The Last Manual Account

The Last Manual App does not require (or offer) a The Last Manual login, username, or cloud profile. There is no App account of ours to close. Reading history, checklists, waypoints, and emergency contacts stay on the device and are not uploaded to a The Last Manual user database.

Some optional services still process data when you use them — ads on Free, Premium restore via Google Play / RevenueCat, library and map downloads, and (on this Site) waitlist signup. Those are described in the Privacy Policy. This page tells you how to delete what we can delete.

§ 02

What Data Is Stored On Your Device

The following data may be stored locally on your device by the App:

App preferences and settings

Font size, display mode, notification preferences, and other app configuration.

Bookmarks and saved articles

Any guides or articles you have saved for quick access.

Custom checklists

Any checklists you have created using the Checklists tool.

Downloaded offline maps

Any map tiles you have downloaded for offline use.

Reading progress and history

Your recently viewed articles and reading position within articles.

Emergency contacts, Comms history, waypoints

Names you typed in, Bluetooth chat on this phone, and map pins you saved.

The items above are stored in the App's private on-device storage. Uninstall or Android "Clear data" removes them. They are not copied to a The Last Manual account. They may still leave the device when you use Comms (nearby Bluetooth), ads, purchases, or downloads — see the Privacy Policy.

§ 03

How to Delete Your Data

There are two ways to delete all data stored by The Last Manual from your device:

1

Clear App Data (keeps the app installed)

This deletes all your bookmarks, checklists, downloaded maps, and settings, while keeping the app installed on your device.

Android

  1. 1.Open your device Settings
  2. 2.Tap Apps (or Application Manager)
  3. 3.Find and tap "The Last Manual"
  4. 4.Tap "Storage"
  5. 5.Tap "Clear Data" and confirm

iOS (iPhone / iPad)

  1. 1.Open the Settings app
  2. 2.Scroll down and tap "The Last Manual"
  3. 3.Tap "Reset" or find the data reset option within the app itself
  4. 4.Alternatively, delete and reinstall the app (see Option 2)

Note: iOS does not have a system-level "Clear Data" option like Android. The recommended method on iOS is to delete and reinstall the app.

2

Uninstall the App (removes everything)

Uninstalling the app removes all app data including bookmarks, checklists, downloaded maps, settings, and the app itself.

Android

Long-press the app icon on your home screen or app drawer and select "Uninstall," or go to Settings > Apps > The Last Manual > Uninstall.

iOS

Long-press the app icon on your home screen, tap "Remove App," and then tap "Delete App" to confirm.

§ 04

Website waitlist

If you submitted your name and email on thelastmanual.com, we store that row so we can send a launch notice. Use the form to delete it. That is not an App account; the App still has none. You can also email support@thelastmanual.com.

Request waitlist deletion

Email is required — it is the only identifier we store for the site waitlist. Name is optional.

§ 05

Play purchases, ads, and other vendors

Google Play purchase and download records live in your Google account. Uninstalling The Last Manual does not delete that Play history. Manage it in Google Play / your Google account.

Advertising identifiers used on Free are controlled in Android settings (reset advertising ID) and, in the EEA/UK, Google's ad-consent form. We cannot remotely erase Google's or RevenueCat's copies of identifiers they collected to serve ads or restore Premium.

§ 06

No App-account deletion button

Google Play requires an in-app and web account-deletion path only when an app lets users create an account. The Last Manual App does not. Use this page to delete on-device App data and to request waitlist deletion.
