The app on your phone shows v 1.0.0in Me & Settings. That string matches expo.version in the Android build. There is no hidden 1.x drip: library, maps, Ask, Comms, PDF exports, tools, Gear, and settings all live in this first public release.

Not a teaser build. These field surfaces are in 1.0.0 on Android, the same binary as the library, maps, Ask, Comms, PDFs, and tools.

• Home field status. A Field Status button sits under SOS. Tap it to read clock, heading, network, Comms peers, lat/lon, altitude, and speed as text. Tap a reading to open its tool. GPS stays off until you enable it.
• Field Kit on Home. Gear Guide, Bookmarks, and Checklists sit on the Field Manual dashboard: one row under search, not buried in a sidebar.
• Comms SOS and location notes. Optional short note on SOS and location shares: meeting point, delay, landmark. Proximity heartbeats stay note-free.
• Comms pins on Map. Incoming SOS, location shares, and live peer GPS drop as markers. Route on Map flies there and starts navigation when GPS is ready. The Map tab stays in the bar.
• Typed coordinates and field POIs. Paste or type latitude and longitude on Map. Show drops a pin; Route here draws the road path. Offline POI layers include hospitals, water, fuel, fire stations, and camp sites.
• Data deletion. Me & Settings opens thelastmanual.com/data-deletion. There is no account; local data leaves with uninstall or the form.

7,000+ field guides across 18topics: the same taxonomy as the Library tab in the app. There is no First Aid or Preparation topic. Injury copy lives under Field Care. Remaining field-hazard copy lives under Hazards & Wildlife and Kits & Plans. Free includes ~100 starter articles after install. Every topic is represented. Pro downloads the full pack (~39 MB) once, then it stays on the phone. If a topic still looks empty, download the current library pack.

Also in 1.0.0: on-device search, bookmarks, continue reading, checklists, 8 scenario packs (Nuclear Fallout, Power Grid Down, Earthquake, Lost in the Wild, Flood, Civil Unrest, Tornado, Pandemic / Biological), and a Sources list of the public field publications that inform the library.

Map downloads region packs while you have signal, then GPS, waypoints, and routing run offline. You can tap a Comms pin or type / paste latitude and longitude to drop a pin and draw a route. Default POI layers include hospitals, water, fuel, fire stations, and camp sites. The Map tab stays in the bar. Free can open the Map UI; packs unlock with Pro.

Ask the Manual runs on-device. It searches the articles on the phone and writes a short answer. Not a cloud chatbot. Ask is a Pro feature with no Free quota. After Pro, download the Gemma model once; then Ask is unlimited offline. The tab stays visible so you can preview the UI.

Comms is a beta Bluetooth Low Energy mesh between nearby Last Manual phones: callsign, chat, SOS, location share, optional proximity. SOS and location cards take a short note. Incoming GPS drops as pins on Map; Route on Map starts navigation when GPS is ready. No cell tower. Comms is a beta Pro feature with no Free chat trial. Torch SOS on Tools stays free. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Any guide exports as an on-device PDF field sheet. Free includes 2 lifetime distinct-article exports (re-exporting the same article does not spend another). Pro is unlimited. Generated on the phone. No printer cloud.
