Affiliate Disclosure

An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that identifies us as the referrer when you visit a retailer's website. If you click an affiliate link from our App or Site and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission as a referral fee. This commission comes from the retailer's own revenue — it is not an additional charge to you. The price you pay for any product is identical whether you reach the retailer through our affiliate link or directly.

The Last Manual participates in the following affiliate programmes (and may add others over time):

• Amazon Associates

  We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and other Amazon regional sites.

• REI Affiliate Programme

  We may link to products on REI.com through their affiliate programme.

• Cabela's / Bass Pro Shops

  We may link to products from these retailers through their affiliate programmes.

• MyMedic

  We may link to first aid and medical preparedness products through their affiliate programme.

• Other Survival and Outdoor Retailers

  We may from time to time participate in affiliate programmes with specialist survival, outdoor, and emergency preparedness retailers. When we do, the same disclosure principles apply.

Affiliate links appear in the following places within the App and Site:

Affiliate links are only functional when your device has an active internet connection. When you tap an affiliate link, it opens in your device's browser and directs you to the retailer's website. The App is entirely functional without ever tapping an affiliate link — they are supplementary, not essential.

We are committed to recommending only products that we genuinely believe are useful, high quality, and appropriate for the survival and emergency preparedness use cases described in the App. Our editorial process for gear recommendations is independent of our affiliate relationships. We do not accept payment from manufacturers or retailers to feature their products, and commission rates do not influence which products we recommend.

In some cases, we may include products for which we have no affiliate relationship alongside products for which we do — because the non-affiliate product is the better recommendation. We will not recommend an inferior product simply because it earns a higher commission.

Opinions, reviews, and assessments expressed in the App regarding specific products are honest and reflect our genuine assessment based on research, available specifications, and user feedback.

In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines on affiliate marketing, we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly and prominently. This disclosure page, and in-app notices within the Gear module, constitute our material connection disclosure as required by these guidelines.

Once you leave the App or Site and visit a third-party retailer, that retailer's own terms of service, privacy policy, and policies govern your transaction and experience. We are not responsible for the products, services, pricing, availability, shipping, returns, or any other aspect of third-party retailer transactions. Any issues with orders placed through affiliate links must be resolved directly with the relevant retailer.
